The CapRateCity Chrome extension is designed with your privacy in mind. Here is exactly what the extension does and does not do:
The extension stores your preferences (such as default expense assumptions and calculator settings) locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your browser.
The extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. We do not collect your name, email address, browsing history, or any other personally identifiable information.
The extension does not track your browsing history, monitor which websites you visit, or record any browsing activity. It does not send any data to our servers or any third-party services.
When you visit a supported real estate listing site, the extension reads property listing prices displayed on the page in order to perform cap rate and investment calculations. This data is processed entirely within your browser and is not transmitted anywhere.
The CapRateCity website (capratecity.com) is a static site. All calculations are performed client-side in your browser. We use no tracking cookies, no analytics scripts, and no third-party trackers. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email is handled by Beehiiv in accordance with their privacy policy.
